Partnering with BHP to design modular, multilingual eLearning and video content that supports global teams in navigating the contract creation process with confidence and clarity.
The Challenge: BHP’s Contract Empowerment Hub was launched to improve contract management capability across the business. The aim was to help teams, particularly in procurement and marketing, feel confident navigating the contract creation process.
A key goal was to reduce unnecessary reliance on Legal for routine queries and instead clarify the specific points in the process when legal input was truly required. Many users were unsure when to engage Legal, which led to inefficiencies and delays.
BHP needed a modular, self-paced learning experience that could be delivered globally, simplify complex concepts, and define clear pathways for when and how to seek legal support.
Why It Worked: By combining scenario-based learning with visual clarity and multilingual access, the content felt relevant and easy to apply. Users could engage at their own pace, boosting confidence and increasing long-term uptake across teams and geographies.
Our Approach: We collaborated closely with BHP Legal and the project team to distil complex source material into structured, visual digital learning content. A significant focus was on helping learners understand not only what the contract process entailed, but also who should be involved and when.
Through scenario-based learning and microlearning, we made it easier to distinguish routine contract steps from legal escalation points, empowering teams to work more independently while following the correct process.
