About this policy
We collect only what we need to reply to you and run this website. We don't sell personal information or use advertising trackers.
This policy covers elevateelearning.com.au and our demo courses at demos.elevateelearning.com.au, including Ella Companion, our AI learning companion. Elevate eLearning is a sole trader business run by Doug Mulitalo (ABN 79 523 206 838), based in Lake Macquarie, NSW. In this policy, "we" and "us" means Elevate eLearning.
We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Contact form
When you send an enquiry, we receive it by email and don't store it in a website database.
What we collect: your name, email address, organisation (optional) and your message.
How it is handled:
- Spam check: Cloudflare Turnstile checks you're a person. To do this, your IP address and basic browser signals are sent to Cloudflare.
- Delivery: our website server sends your enquiry by email through Resend, an email delivery service, to our inbox (hello@elevateelearning.com.au, hosted on Microsoft 365). Your email address is set as the reply-to address so we can respond.
- No database: the website doesn't save your enquiry in a database, and our code doesn't write your name, email or message to any log. Your IP address isn't sent to Resend.
You can also email us directly at hello@elevateelearning.com.au. We use the details you send only to reply to you and discuss the work you're asking about. We won't add you to a mailing list without your consent.
Website analytics and search data
We use Lovable's visitor analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read, and Google Search Console to see how people find us in Google. Neither identifies you.
- Lovable visitor analytics (our website host): counts visits, page views, visit length, the site that referred you, campaign tags in the link, your country and device type. It uses a short-lived session-id cookie (about 30 minutes) holding a random identifier, so the pages you view are counted as one visit. It doesn't link visits to you or build a profile of you.
- Google Search Console: shows us which Google searches lead to our site, in aggregate. It doesn't add anything to our pages.
We don't use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking.
Ella Companion
Ella doesn't ask who you are, and we don't store your conversations. Your questions are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate answers.
What is sent when you ask Ella a question:
- your question and the recent conversation in that browser tab (up to the last 12 messages)
- the title and text of the course slide you're on
- the course content Ella answers from
Ella doesn't automatically attach your name, email address or any account details. However, anything you type into a question is sent to Anthropic as part of that question. Ella is a demonstration, so please don't enter personal or confidential information.
Where it goes:
- Our server: your question passes through our server on Cloudflare's network. It doesn't record your questions or Ella's answers, and its request logging is switched off.
- Anthropic: our server sends the question to Anthropic's Claude API to write the answer. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, it may not train its models on this content. Anthropic deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days, but may keep them for up to 2 years if its safety systems flag them for a usage policy review, or longer where the law requires. These terms apply to the Claude model Ella currently uses (Claude Haiku 5.5); we'll update this policy if that changes.
- Back to you: the answer is shown in Ella's panel. The conversation exists only in that browser tab and is gone when you reload or close it.
Abuse protection:
- Turnstile: Cloudflare Turnstile checks you're a person before your first question. It uses your IP address and browser signals.
- Usage limits: our server counts questions per network (by IP address) and per chat session for the current hour, so the demo isn't overused. Each counter expires after the hour it covers and is removed automatically the next time Ella is used.
- Session token: your browser gets a random session code that lasts up to 2 hours. It isn't linked to who you are.
Ella is an AI and can make mistakes. Check important information against the course materials.
Cookies and browser storage
We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our website's own code sets no cookies, but our hosting provider sets three short-lived cookies to protect the site, deliver it and count visits. Our demo courses keep a few small, non-identifying items in your browser so Ella works properly.

Client project records are kept as our contracts and the law require.
Your choices and contacting us
How we use information: to reply to enquiries, deliver and discuss our services, run the demos and Ella, keep the site secure, and understand which pages are useful. We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Security: our providers encrypt information in transit, and we limit access to our accounts.
Access and correction: you can ask what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@elevateelearning.com.au. We'll reply within 30 days.
Complaints: email us first and we'll try to resolve it. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes: we'll update this page when our practices change and show the new "last updated" date.
